1. Data We Collect

• Account information (name, email, company, phone) provided at signup or application.
• For suppliers: company profile details and, per SKU listed, Technical Data Sheets, Certificates of Analysis, Regulatory Data Sheets, and Product Specification Sheets.
• For customers: formulation search inputs (dye, application, processing conditions) used to return matches.
• Billing information, processed directly by Stripe — we never receive or store your raw card number.
• Automated data (cookies, analytics, browser type, IP address).

2. Use of Information

We use your data to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the DyeConverter platform and our other Sites.
• Return formulation matches and power your supplier listing.
• Send newsletters, event details, account notices, and educational materials.
• Fulfill obligations related to free or paid subscriptions.

3. Data Sharing — What We Never Do

We do not sell, license, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. For suppliers specifically: your uploaded documents (TDS, COA, regulatory data sheets, spec sheets), company data, and SKU-level information are never sold, shared, or made visible to other suppliers, competitors, or any third party outside the limited service providers (such as our database and hosting infrastructure) required to operate the platform. Your data is never used to train third-party AI models. Information may be disclosed only where required by law.

4. How Your Data Is Protected

DyeConverter's platform data is held in a PostgreSQL database with row-level security enforced at the database itself — not just hidden in the app's interface. That means access control is a property of the data layer: a supplier's account is only ever permitted to read its own company's rows, verified by an automated, repeatable test suite we run against the live system, not asserted from documentation alone. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor — DyeConverter's own systems never see or store your card number. This is the best privacy and access-control architecture available to us today, and we treat strengthening it as ongoing work, not a one-time claim.

6. Data Retention & Your Rights

We retain account and SKU data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with legal obligations. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us below.
