Natural preservatives, forecast to grow about 6.9%. Natural colors, about 7.0%. Sugar substitutes, about 7.6%. Different ingredients, different suppliers, different science, all climbing at nearly the same rate.

That clustering is the tell. Clean label is not one trend in one aisle. It is a broad shift across the whole formulation stack, and every lane is growing two to three times faster than packaged food itself.

For a portfolio, that changes the math. Reformulation stops being a stack of one-off compliance projects and starts looking like the direction the entire category is moving. Color simply got the deadline first.

DyeConverter started in color because it had the deadline and the messiest data, and it is extending the same ingredient intelligence into the lanes right beside it. The categories that are growing are the ones worth building toward.
